This key position will lead and oversee the creation of the new ACT Learning/Curriculum Sales and is responsible for day to day management of ACT Account Executives. This team member will lead the ACT sales strategy into this space and work in concert with Product and Sales Support/Implementation to ensure services and new product features are aligned to market needs. They will be responsible for hiring and managing the Learning/Curriculum Sales team(s) and working with their peers in Workforce and K12 Assessment as needed providing key subject matter expertise.
The Sr. Director, Learning/Curriculum is a key contributor in the development of all College Career Readiness Workshops (CCRW’s) and helps ensure client consistency across all territories and across ACT. This person will play a key role, working with other internal ACT groups as needed to dramatically expand ACT’s reach in the “Learn and Navigate” space, identifying needs as well has helping to solution these needs - from Product Development, Lead generation, Sales efforts/acquisition, and successful product implementation and client renewal/retention.
Essential job responsibilities:
Typical work-related activities include:
Leads sales team member’s in building and monitoring sales plans
Works day-to-day with each Senior Director
Leads all territory reviews for his/her team, attends other reviews as necessary
Serves as CR primary contact for PLM launch, sunset, and ongoing meetings regarding Curriculum
Serves as critical contact for internal groups regarding client onboarding and retention..
Works with CR, TS, and Product to identify training needs (for new and current staff) and implement a calendar for execution
Team leads the development of CCRW’s and other initiatives to position ACT in the marketplace with ACT research
Leads the identification, tracking, and internal strategy calls for upcoming RFP’s in the curriculum space
Ensures the use of SFDC for collection, managing, and reporting sales opportunities
Works across departments to ensure proper lead categorization and follow-up as appropriate
Serves as POC for Client Relations for additional requests, such as pilot/field study requests, launch/sunset teams, and other Client Relations efforts that require interaction with other departments
Bachelor’s degree in a related area required, preferably in business administration
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience leading high profile projects or contracts, specifically in customer-facing roles
Experience in matrix model organizational structures and/or demonstrated ability to navigate within structure of organization
Experience with complex project or contract implementations in assessment, education and/or workforce markets
People management experience required
